More info

Our Rice Mortar is an authentic piece of kitchen equipment that we've found on our travels. It reflects the way that everyday life is lived in villages. It's a traditional piece that is used as a pestle and mortar. The villagers grind the rice inside to a powder and then use it for baking and cooking.

A nice talking point. This unusual piece will be a fantastic talking point when friends and family come around. Or have it as a hefty door stop to prop open a door. It's crafted by artisans from the hardwearing root of the teak tree. Naturally all roots aren't the same. So the exact shape and size of this piece may of course vary.
