We have had a busy year developing several new ranges and improving on our mahogany village range by adding several new lines.

As part of our fair-trade initiatives we have been looking for ways of using recycled wood and waist product such as tree roots and using local village crafts people turning them into useful beautiful products. This has lead to our island range and tree root range. This is often very dependent on the shape of the tree root so our stock of this beautiful sculptural furniture varies widely.

As you may know we work with mostly local craftsmen to produce our products which our then taken into our factory for finishing. This is great for the local community as we provide many jobs directly and indirectly in our rural local area. As part of our ongoing commitment to the community we have started to provide funding for several less well off local children linked to our workers so they can attend the local school.
We have done this buy selling beautiful hand carved door stops from off cuts and recycled wood. Its only the beginning for this project but we hope “Door stop poverty” will lead to help educate local kids giving them hopefully a better chance of a brighter future. I am visiting the school on my next trip so watch this space for some photos of the school and the kids we help. (James Ellis M.D )
If you would like to help please order a door stop from us they make great gifts and we plan to expand out range of charity gifts.
